Jim Respess is a digital artist and master printer. His awards include 2nd Grand Prize in the Museum of Computer Art International Competition 2001, Best of Show and top Guru Award from the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, 2002 as well as numerous local awards including First Prize at the San Diego County Fair.

Jim is the owner of Green Flash Photography, a business dedicated to the production of fine art photography and fine art reproduction (giclee) for artists and photographers since 1999. He has gained the reputation as one of the best exhibition digital printers in the area and has been included in Mastering Digital Printing, by Harald Johnson.

This month's presentation will be on basic digital printing. Jim will present how to get from capture (either by digital or film camera) to print with the least amount of technical computer skill. He will also provide tips for the moderately advanced printer on enhancing the output for exhibition printing.
