Photo Books Made Easy

Program Description

Have you been tempted to try making your own photo book? Have you wondered about the cost? The best way to approach it? The best book-making software to use?

In this month’s presentation, Mike McMahon will provide answers to those questions and more. You can look forward to seeing samples of great photos books, understand the variety of book-making choices available, and learn a tried-and-true workflow for making great photo books in a straightforward, easy way.

BIO:

Mike has been a member of the NCPS since 2003 and has served as President (3 years), Projectionist (3 years) and Sponsor Liaison (10 years). He has presented keynote talks and club workshops six times in recent years. Mike is a volunteer instructor at the Carlsbad Senior Center where he teaches a wide variety of classes on digital photography, video, iPad, and other tech topics. Since February 2011, over 7,000 students have attended his classes there. He also teaches at several other north county venues. Mike provides photo work for organizations including Carlsbad’s Parks and Recreation Department and is a member of Carlsbad’s Community Emergency Response Team.

Mike turned his attention to photo and video after finishing a career with Hewlett-Packard. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from UC San Diego and his MBA from UCLA.
