This is a unique opportunity to get up-close and personal with one of North County's recreational, photographic, and environmental treasures. The Agua Hedionda Lagoon is one of three Carlsbad lagoons and is the one which offers the most diversity in terms of its uses. For example there will be people fishing, boating, participating in all sorts of Water Sports. There will be surging surf as it enters the Lagoon and where it exits back into the ocean. Almost hidden foot paths lead to the water's edge, streets lead into the Boat Marinas, as well as to popular "Dog Beach". The view of the Lagoon from the Discovery Center is magnificent. The swallows, native gardens, and architecture of this spot make it a photographer's wish come true.

As a special kindness, one of the members of the Lagoon Foundation Board has offered to take small groups of NCPS members out on the Lagoon - a rare opportunity. Join us for a memorable morning.

For any questions, contact Sylvia Pauloo-Taylor at (760) 730-8918.
